The Environmental Club at Tuscarawas Central Catholic School has a mission to make a difference in the world with simple acts of kindness throughout the school and the Dover and New Philadelphia community.

The club has grown to 25 fifth- and sixth-grade students and is led by teachers Becky Sedares and Beth Cecil. The group meets each Thursday after school for an hour.

The Environmental Club has 25 students who meet after school to pick up trash, clean and plant seeds.

Members pick up trash to help save the environment, and in the fall and spring, they clean up pollinator garden and plant new plants from the seeds they harvested.

The club also planted tulip bulbs and looks forward to seeing them sprout in the spring.

The group recently held a bake sale and raised more than $300 to help purchase additional shovels, rakes and grabbers for their efforts.
