Columbus Bishop Ready High School principal Matthew Brickner presented diplomas to 96 graduates during the school’s 61st commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 24 in the school gymnasium. A baccalaureate Mass was celebrated on Friday, May 23 at Grove City Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
The Class of 2025 earned $12.7 million in scholarships. The valedictorian is Tyler Roof of Grove City. He plans to attend Ohio State University. The salutatorian is Gabriella Racanelli of Columbus, who plans to attend Walsh University.
Honors graduates are Kasen Abbott, Rowan Archer, Evan Budai, Hanna Caldwell, Jacob Cheatham, Maxwell Davis, Jayle Dawson, Melanie De La Cruz, Conlan Dent, Na’ryiah Floyd, Lesa Gardner, Cohen Glover, Danielle Hughes, Brooke Kwalton, Gabrielle Larger, Cecelia McCreary, Jayden McGhee, Lincoln Miller, Jessica Murray, Parvathi Paranthaman, Michelle Pham, Mateo Polt, Gabriella Racanelli, Tanner Michael Reeder, Emma Rieder, Mya Riggins, Tyler Roof, Ana Sanchez-Vega, Kayden Schaffer, Robert Sweetman Jr., Lia Wahl, Luke Whitmer, Natalie Wohrle and Celeste Woods.
Seniors Parvathi Paranthaman, Gabriella Racanelli, Tyler Roof, Lia Wahl and Natalie Wohrle were inducted into the school’s Academic Hall of Fame. Eighty percent of the class will be attending one of 16 institutions of higher education. Ten percent will enter the workforce, seven percent will attend vocational schools, one will enlist in the U.S. Air Force and one in the U.S. Army and one will enter the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) mission program. The class contributed 9,468 service hours.

Six seniors signed to play college sports. They are: Evan Budai, soccer, Heidelberg; Jacob Cheatham, football, Wittenberg; Conlan Dent, football, Ohio Dominican; Kayden Schaffer, basketball, Walsh University; Robert “Bo” Sweetman, wrestling, Otterbein and Lia Wahl, basketball, Kenyon.
