Columbus Bishop Watterson High School awarded diplomas to 234 graduates on Saturday, May 28 in the school gymnasium. A baccalaureate Mass was celebrated there on Thursday, May 26.
Ninety-five percent (194) of the class members were accepted at institutions of higher education and received a combined $36 million in college merit scholarship offers. They will be attending 63 colleges and universities.
The school awarded 88 state honors diplomas, with 80 students receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence. One class member had a perfect score of 36 on the American College Test, and 25 had perfect scores in individual subjects. Class members totaled more than 10,300 service hours in addition to the required sophomore service training program.
