Newark Catholic High School graduated a class of 46 seniors in a commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 22 in the school auditorium. A baccalaureate Mass was celebrated Tuesday, May 17 at Granville St. Edward Church.

The class valedictorian was Margaret Matuska, and the salutatorian was Brooklyn Smith. Forty-four of the seniors will move on to higher education and earned $2.7 million in merit-based scholarships, with one joining AmeriCorps and one entering the workforce. 

Twenty-three seniors earned state honors diplomas, and an equal number were inducted into the National Honor Society. They helped contribute more than 300 pounds of food to a local food pantry and performed 1,500 hours of community service.
