The 137 graduates of Columbus Bishop Hartley High School’s 65th graduating class received diplomas on Saturday, May 24 at Ohio Dominican University. A baccalaureate Mass was celebrated on Friday, May 23 at Columbus Christ the King Church. 

Members of the class will be attending one of 48 colleges and universities. They were awarded $18.5 million in academic and merit-based scholarships, with 95 percent of the class going on to higher education. Four are entering trade programs; two will enter military service, including one going to a service academy; one will enter full-time employment and one will take a gap year.  The graduates performed 6,026 service hours during the just-completed academic year and 21,756 hours over four years. 

Receiving full-tuition scholarships were Elsie Adjei-Tetteh, University of Cincinnati; Nia DuBose, Ohio Wesleyan University; Nia Johnson, Alabama A&M University; John D. Moore III and Zora Womack, Ohio State University; and Sarah Thompson, Walsh University.

Connor Caltrider was appointed to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York.

Jillian Reeb was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, Audrey Jones was selected for the All-Diocesan Academic Honor Team and Mistre Negatu received the Bishop Herrmann Service Award.

A total of 48 students received academic honors. 

Summa cum laude graduates, who had a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 to 4.0, were Esther Adeyele, Chinedu Anigbogu, Katharine Barlay, Ingrid Bedell, Zochi Chen, William Donnelly, Henry Gillies, Malcolm Gillies, Blake Goedde, Nia Johnson, Audrey Jones, Kendall Kirkbride, Hermela Lilay, Vincent Mampieri, Joseph Murray, Cameron Nail, Maleah Ogden, Jillian Reeb, Quinn Richardson, Natalie Saguisi, Sarah Thompson and Isabel Vatter.

Earning magna cum laude honors (3.8 to 3.899 GPA) were Christopher Bartony, Connor Caltrider, Ryan Cartagena, Joseph Christy, Nia DuBose, Keeley Fishking, Miriam Frank, Taylor Hankins, Mariah Hooks, Bella Jackson, Olivia Malone, John Moore III, Emerson Remeis, Efeoghene Ugbarugba and Petros Yohannes.

Cum laude honors (3.7 to 3.799 GPA) were earned by Morgan Bailey, Yosef Denham, Alani Ferguson, Quinn Keiffer, Kelsie Kirkbride, Mistre Negatu, Zachary Parker, Hamilton Poindexter, Blen Solomon, Kidst Tarekegn and Anna Valin.
